Skirk weapon guide

Azurelight is a strong dedicated option. For a practical craftable baseline, use Finale of the Deep with enough healing to clear its Bond of Life. Calamity of Eshu is a conditional alternative for shielded, Normal Attack teams.

Your sword passive matters as much as the rarity.

Finale of the DeepCraftable baseline, especially useful when a team has a healerClear the Bond of Life to receive the full passive. Refinement changes its value.
Calamity of EshuNormal Attack playstyle with a maintained shieldAn event weapon you may not own. Its shield condition and attack bonuses are not universal.
Haran or MistsplitterAlternatives if already ownedPassive uptime and artifact balance matter. Do not treat all stacks as automatic.

First decide whether Skirk will spend her field time attacking or enter briefly for a Burst. A sword that buffs Normal Attacks can fit the first job and contribute much less to the second. Set your teammates before comparing weapons so that shields, healing and buffs are real parts of the comparison.

Check the weapon level, refinement, passive conditions and your artifact stats. An account with an upgraded craftable sword should not assume that an unlevelled five-star is an immediate improvement. Compare a complete setup rather than the name of the weapon.

Using Finale of the Deep without losing its passive

Finale creates a Bond of Life when its passive triggers. Healing has to clear that bond before the remaining attack benefit becomes available. A team with Escoffier can support this requirement; other healers can also make the weapon usable. A team that looks strong in a screenshot may still fail to activate the sword consistently.

When checking a rotation, watch when Skirk receives healing after she uses her Skill. If you change the healer, repeat that check. Healing capacity, timing and whether Skirk receives the heal matter more than simply having a character with a healing ability somewhere in the party.

For a returning player with limited billets, an existing usable sword can be a temporary choice. Decide whether the team can support Finale before crafting or refining it. This guide does not recommend wishing for a weapon merely to replace a functional free option.

Eshu needs a shield and the right damage window

Calamity of Eshu rewards the attack-focused route when Skirk stays shielded. Losing the shield changes the comparison. Check the shield duration against the time Skirk spends attacking, and remember that hard-hitting enemies can remove a shield early.

Do not insert an unsuitable shielder solely to make a weapon passive light up. The replacement changes the damage, buffs and comfort of the entire team. A sword comparison that ignores the teammate you gave up is incomplete. Eshu also came from a past event, so it is an owned-weapon option rather than a permanently available recommendation.

Recheck your artifacts after a weapon swap

A CRIT Rate weapon and Marechaussee Hunter can push your effective CRIT Rate beyond 100%. Include active set bonuses and applicable Cryo Resonance before evaluating the circlet. Extra CRIT Rate past the cap contributes no further chance to crit.

A craftable attack sword can leave you with the opposite problem: impressive CRIT DMG but too few critical hits. A CRIT Rate circlet may be the useful change even when the displayed CRIT DMG falls. Use the artifact conditions in the build overview, then compare damage under the same buffs and enemy conditions.

Common questions

Should I replace my owned sword with R5 Finale?

Only after checking the full setup. Finale needs healing for its full passive; compare refinement, artifact balance and your chosen playstyle before investing billets.

Is Calamity of Eshu a general free weapon recommendation?

No. It is an event weapon and its main appeal depends on a shielded Normal Attack playstyle. Use the craftable Finale route when those conditions do not fit.
